About The Mehta Boys
The Mehta Boys is an original film directed by Boman Irani and co-written by Alex Dinelaris. Danesh Irani, Vikesh Bhutani and Shujaat Saudagar produced the movie through Irani Movietone LLP, which collaborated with Chalkboard Entertainment LLP. The lead actors in this touching father-son story are Boman Irani, Avinash Tiwary, Shreya Chaudhry and Puja Sarup. After the loss of his mother, Amay, a struggling young architect is forced to live for 48 hours with the one person he cannot stand, his father. It seems like a recipe for disaster. Wrong! It’s much worse. Will the young architect crumble or will this bumpy ride help him rebuild his relationship with his crabby old man?
Ask him then what makes the film personal, and Boman quips, “Even if David Fincher is making a Seven and he has never been a part of a serial killer’s life, it still has to be personal. The relatability is so evident; it actually becomes easy to make it consumable for audiences with a heart,” sums up Boman. Boman says he drew the father-son relationship from reality even if it wasn’t from his own life. He says, “I did a hell of a lot of interviews. I can’t reveal names. We are all guilty of backseat driving and I have drawn from a lot of personal experiences.”
